Toy Story 3

I was planning on seeing TS3 on Sunday, but my plans changed and I saw it tonight instead in 3-D. I loved it! It's just like the first two movies. I like this "trilogy" because it never loses it's charm and humor. I don't know the running time for TS and TS2, but the third is almost two hours long. It even had some sappy parts. I really enjoyed it. Woody has always been my favorite character (but I'm biased to Tom Hanks :lol: ), but Buzz, or "El Buzzo," was pretty awesome in this one. :wink:

Any other TS fans here? It has always been my favorite Pixar. The short film in the beginning is cute. And there's some stuff during the credits but not bloopers, which was kind of disappointing because TS2 had some good ones. Why don't do they make bloopers anymore? :(

Anyway, great movie! I actually brought my 1995 original Woody and Buzz toys with me, my older sister and my mom to the theater. The kids got a kick out of them although Woody's pull string no longer retracts, and Buzz's sound is almost too low to hear. It was funny because I have been meaning to try and find where Buzz's batteries are to replace them and in TS3, they show you! So I'm tempted to unscrew his back and see if they were telling the truth. If not, I'll send a complaint letter to Disney/Pixar. :lol: Now the kids will be begging their parents for the new ones at "Targét" and "Wally World." Excellent, yessss. :lol:

I loved the movie and thought the end was really touching. It reminded me of how had to let go of my Beast Wars toys...after my mom gave them away -_-. lol El Buzzo was hilarious and he had some sick dance moves at that!

I was thinking of seeing it but not for a while, at least a few weeks after it's first showing here. I gotta see my favorite character, SLINK the slinky dog!

I love Toy Story and Toy Story 2. And I'm sure I'm going to love Toy Story 3 too. But the waiting will kill me...

Yeah big Toy Story fan and Disney fan for that matter! I saw it today and it was great. It's my favorite movie of the year so far and it did touch me in a few ways. I'm a very sentimental person and seeing that movie made me feel like I could never get rid of all of my old toys and other things, even though the message is that there probably is a time to let go of those kinds of things.

The only toy I missed from the first two movies was RC and did anyone else see the hints and easter eggs of the previous two movies in Toy Story 3? I noticed the Pizza Planet reference, the same dialogue in some parts, the truck with "yo" on it, and Sid was the garbage man that kept dancing/singing around in the movie! I didn't catch the last one myself but if you see it again be sure to look at his shirt and it'll remind you of Sid from Toy Story! :wink:

I finally got to go see it today. Man, I really was tearing up. They did a really good job on it! :)

It took disney a long time, but everyone I know who has seen it, said that it was worth the wait. I don't know if I'll see it now or just wait for the DVD.


I'm wondering if this may inspire more disney movies to be finished? Like perhaps lion king 3,etc.?

I saw this tonight, and it was amazing.

And *Spoilers*: Everyone near the end accepting their death together made me tear up. Jesse calming Bullseye down and Buzz's resigned look to Woody with his offered hand is sticking in my mind right now. That was... wow.

But of course I'm glad they didn't actually die.

I was also hoping Lotso's cynicism was going to get cracked by Woody and Buzz saving his life, but that's certainly not something bad on the writers' part. They just went a different way. Though I am surprised- why, when Lotso is finally safe does he decide to let the others get carried away? He couldn't have gotten anything out of their deaths except the knowledge they were dead. Is he just that emotionally scarred- that hateful?
