It's snowing!!!!!

My fingers are numb. I'm so excited!!!!

I live in a desert nine months of the year, and I'm beyond exhilerated!!!!! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! WHEEEEEEEE!!!!!

I took a ling video of my going ultra sonic, and took pictures! I wish I hadn't left my camera in Kuwait. I used the family one today, and the flash would only catch the snowflakes. Cool for some shots, but I can't get street shots. yet. We're predicted 4 inches to settle in the morning! My sis and I are SO going to build a snowman!!!!!!!!

Must go frollic in the snow more and get stared at my cold passers by...

btw, I'm in England, in Kent. WHO ELSE HAS SNOW?!

We got snow where I am. But where I live we get all 4 seasons and to be honest I can't wait till spring. I hate the cold. I tell ya why is it that winter always seems to be the longest out of all the seasons?

I get all four seasons as well but my favorites are summer and winter. Although, the past several winters have been poopie because all I keep getting are these lame "slop storms" where they predict a lot of snow before they hit, and when they do, it's mostly ice in the end. And ice is a real pain to shovel and drive on. >_< I want my snow back! I need a really good blizzard. I miss the ones that used to bring a foot or four feet of snow.

Anywho, that's awesome, Jagna! Isn't snow so fun? ^_^ Don't forget the carrot for the nose, and buttons for eyes on your snowman! Oh, and put a magical top hat on his head so he comes to life and says, "Happy Birthday!"

...Stupid Frosty.

Yeah the snow cna be fun to play in and yeah the ice is a pain in the aft. Heck, ealier this week I slipped on some ice when I was walking back to my dorm after getting out of my evening class.

When I moved from South Africa to England four years ago, snow got me excited. Now, I shake my fist at it *shakes fist as it's snowing in Coventry too* because I know what it does to the British transport system. First sign of a tiny flurry and traffic backs up for miles, trains and buses get stopped or delayed and schools and such close down.

Snow's only cool when there's enough of it to build a SNOWMAN. Or a SNOW ROBOT! Then I'm all for it. Not this piddly light fluffy stuff that doesn't settle. Either it snows properly, or it doesn't snow at all I say! XD

Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying the snow, Jagna! We had rain on top of our snow pack a couple days ago, so everything is slippery as heck right now. The roads literally looked like skating rinks. My dog is loving it though. For some reason, he has a thing for chomping on snowbanks. Moreso since it iced over. *shrugs*

I've got a little bit of snow where I live. It's a think layer of the naff stuff - but that's all I ever get here. Pleased to see it though, due to it hardly ever happening.

Nurann, I am sure Canadian snow would put me in my place.

In the Underberg and other parts of South Africa, it snows heavily so that it climbs up to two feet and blocks doors from opening. Regardless, snow ploughs will come out and often the roads are cleared within 2 hours and all runs smoothly. Here, there is a light dusting of snow and, *in Joker voice* "Everyone loses their minds!" I look outside and there's not even enough to make a snow baby, never mind a snowman, and yet buses and trains are cancelled. Silly England! XD

Anyone in England...time to go our and build that SNOWBOT! I've got nearly 8 inches where I am this morning! My sister isn't going into school. So we're both rather...ecstatic!

Apparently this is the heaviest and worst it's been in 18 years. What about that, eh? Heathrow's closed both its runways, there are only a few lines open on the underground, taxis can't get anyway, the bus service is suspended, and anyone who tries to drive up even a slight hill gets stuck. Bugger.

Though the excitement is at the moment overwhelming I cannot ignore a slight nagging worry...

I might not be able to get to my audition tomorrow....

The one I flew out here for....

BUT. I'll get to that bridge when I cross it....if the bridge is open

This is the first time I've ever seen real snow. It's so thrilling! wE'RE GOING OUT AT ABOUT TWO O'CLOCK TODAY TO BUILD SNOWPEOPLE...(sorry, I hit the caps

) and have another snowball fight! We butchered each other last night, made snow angels (me!!) and built a short, stout opera singer snow person thing. All you can see is the top of its head, and the snow angels are completely buried.

And get this! Some cheeky sod thought it would be funny to make a line of footprints across ours and all the neighbours' gardens! And my sister, paranoid as she is, thought we'd been robbed.

And as for the transport...what doesn't give the British Transport system something to complain about?

Well, I'm looking outside the window, and the flakes have finally stopped. Although they did get bigger and bigger progressively this morning. Our cars are now twice the size they were XD

I'll post up a few pics later! The computer is acting up, so it may take a while...

Awesome use of that quote, Sapphire. XD I just watched that movie again on Saturday. It never gets old! Anywho, I hear that's what it's like in southern states in the U.S. of A, no offense to anyone who lives there. But simply because they don't get snow, or at least very rarely, they really don't know how to drive in it. Not that it's their fault but if they aren't experienced in it, then they really shouldn't go anywhere. Up north we aren't perfect in the snow and ice either, but people are still expected to go to work, where everything seems to shut down in the south after one inch or less has fallen.

I'm glad you're having so much in it! ^_^ We'll be getting some more snow tonight and Tuesday, but not much. Maybe an inch or two on top of the three inches that fell last week. My dog loves the snow. She eats it, hops in it like a bunny, and runs around with her black face turned white.

That's so awesome, Jagna! XD I remember back in '93 or '96 (both of them were huge blizzards and brought a couple feet of snow) where my parents' cars in the driveway were buried. It was so fun walking in such deep snow like that and digging snow tunnels around the yard.

Yesss, I definitely need a blizzard!

I heard from two friends in Vancouver, BC, Canada that they got about three feet this winter so far, and it hardly ever snows there, so they've been in a bit or a rut lately. I say to them: lucky! XD But they don't really like that wonderful frozen precipitation like I do.

*GASP* Snow tunnels? That sounds like a hoot!

At this very moment as I type this message, I would have finished warming up for my second audition. Unfortunately, I got a call from Guildhall yeasterday morning, and they said because of the severe weather...

...the audition is cancelled.

Hrm. Buggeration. That's the flip side of the coin to have a foot and a half of snowfall, I suppose. Now I have to call them and tell them I'm only free ONE DAY to do the audition later in February because I have to travel. Bah. Other than that, I'm still pleased. Hopefully we can work something out...What I said to my sister was, they should take me anyway, and only after half a year of miserable failure would they be able to say 'Hm. Maybe that might not have been the best solution' XD

But anyway, the snowing is still going, very on and off though, and the snow has settled. I can still just about see our little garden snowman's head in the garden. Looks like he's wearing a witch's hat XD

Btw, people are mean! Me, my sister and her friend Di spent two hours building a snowman on the town green yesterday. And he was stupendous Nearly as tall as my sister (who is about 5"6)! We named him Derek, and even 'signed our names' in bark in front of him. Then as we left, he instantly became a celebrity! A huge crowd gathered around him and they started taking pictures of and with him!

What about that, eh? (I have proof, too!)

BUT THEN! We came back a few hours later...and he was gone!!!! *wails*

Someone had nicked the bottom half to build their own snowman! Who would do such a thing, I mean really, that's horrible! We know he wasn't knocked down, because there was no debris and the floor was almost completely flat where he was. We found the base of Derek about 20 feet away, with a new head. There was no one around, so we knocked the head off to avenge the memory of Derek. Now, I know two wrongs don't make a right...........but who cares! They killed Derek! Besides, there was no one around. >,>

Apart from that, I had a great day, snowball fights galore. We measured the snow outside Di's house...about 9 inches, I believe. Yoinks!

I'll put up a few pictures if you like! I've got some shopping to do today, if i can brave the thick snow all the way into town. And this is favour shopping, too! They'd better be greatful is all I can say!

I'll be off now. My fingers are getting cold and I need tea. Ciao!

I'm glad you have snow Jag. The most I get is usually a few flakes and then it turns into freezing rain.

Rain that is so cold that it pierces the soul.
