Beast Wars in HD???

It's probable a far stretch for a old tv series. But being an animated show back in the 90's, I wonder if the final render was above DVD?

I already got the DVD's in 2007, but on big HD screen it lacks quality.

Anyone know if it's possible for Beast wars to be brought to HD?

Maybe it will be broadcasted in HD?

If it was possible, I wonder if there is anyone to contact on the BW fans behalf & convince them to bring it to blu ray?

I mean this series is so astounding, but it would be far better in HD.

Hmm... I just spent a little time looking this up, but I haven't found any signs that any company intends to do such a thing.

I haven't heard any denial either, but I think that's the worst part: it doesn't appear this has even crossed the minds of those who have production rights.

An interesting idea, Nexus Zero.

I'm pretty happy with the standard DVD's, though. I used to watch them on a 32" tube TV before it crapped out. When my mom replaced it with a 50" flatscreen plasma, I was blown away from the clarity and sharpness of Beast Wars on it. I feel like I haven't really seen the show at all before and now I have to watch every episode on the new screen and surround sound.

I just poked around on google and didn't fin anything [exept for this! XD].

But I like the idea of HD, but for now my DVDs are really clear on the 40inch tv of my dad's <_<

This was the reply I got from Bob Forward... I asked him via email about who to ask about seeking this in HD.

I have no idea who you would contact, but for what it is worth, I doubt it would be possible. BW was rendered for television resolution -- to render it any higher would have greatly increased the production time and we were already working around the clock at Mainframe. It's not like it was shot on 35mm or anything. DVD is as good as it will look.

as film far exceeds 1080p resolution & clarity...

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that... I mean could you imagine BW in Blu Ray? *gasps in awe* I was watching a movie in Best Buy on Blu Ray. Holy Crow! Its so clear you wanna try touching the characters! But Nexus, mabbe you'll go into filming business and release our favorite dvds in blu ray hmmmm?

I should go back in time & give Mainframe todays PC's with quad cores, LOL. So they could render in 1080p.

Just imagine... BW with the HD visuals of todays Blu-Ray animated films like ICE AGE 2 & Madgascar 2 etc...
