Beast Wars Bothers

Hey!

Does anyone else get bothered by lil things in da Beast Wars. Not da show its self o course, but maybe someting in da plot line or an animation error.

Ex: Optimal Optimus gets hit by a ROCK in da Nemesis part 2 and gets KNOCKED offline?!?!? What he's like one of da biggest most powerful of all and a ROCK beats him. Why?!

And da biggest thin' dat bothered me. Dark Glass. We've all heard of it. We all want to see it. Dere reason for not making it was in my opinion dumb beyond belief and it had a very important little part: Dinobot II gettin Dinobot I's spark back.

Yeah, not showing Dark Glass did leave out some important information. But I heard it sawn't shown because it considered too dark. They thought that was too dark and they had Dinobot contenplating suidice at the beggining of Code of Hero. But of course, the first time I saw Code of Hero, I had no idea what Seppuku was at time. But after learning about it in a history class, and then see Code of Hero again I think, ZOMG!

Im sure others think that Terrorsaur dying via falling into lava was kind fo stupid.

Also I think Tigerhawk was killed off way too quickly. Even back then I was like, "What the heck?" at him being killed off so quickly.

Actually, he rammed right into on... and it was a giant rock. It probably still doesn't make much sense but it's a little more reasonable.

Anyways, my problem is that the series was too short, and from what I've heard, the writers had ideas for episodes which didn't air. (I can think of two, maybe three)

First idea was, yes, Dark Glass. Although I'm sure that if they didn't have a limited amount of episodes in season 3, they might've added it.

Second idea (I forget the title) was an episode that would've been placed instead of Call of the Wild (I read this topic on BWTF.com once, yes the site is still not done). Anyways, during a battle, Optimus Primal ended up crashing in the woods and gets amesia (he thinks he's a real monkey... hey like Basic Programing by Black Widow3) and meets more Gorilla's. They didn't say how it would've ended only that they scrapped the idea for Call of the Wild.

I would've loved to have seen that concept.

Argh! I HATE "Call of the Wild". What a dumb episode!

Optimus Primal trying to convince a bunch of lady gorrilas that he was the "Alpha Male" on the other hand.

Well, come to think of it. I think Optimus' beast mode is the type of gorilla that is normally the alpha male in gorilla families. But yeah, but that does sound like that would have been an interesting episode. As Call of the Wild goes I think it was an okay episode, but not the best.

But I confess that I do like it better then The Web. That episode always creeps me out.

Some of the characterisations annoyed me at times. Waspinator was the butt of all jokes, and I enjoyed that, but when others had stupidly comedic moments it just feels out of character. Perhaps its just because I'm older, and some of the childish humor eludes me at times lol.

Simon Furman writing for the last Episode of Beast Wars...

It seemed like a good idea at the time for a 'Legendary' Transfromers writer to make Beast Wars have it's farewell,however,the problem was the many,many kill-offs that happened there.He didn't write Part I,just Part II.

Tigerhawk got me annoyed,considering that his character development,and superpowers never came at full extent...it would have been cool if some more Vok stuff were involved,but,they died with Tarantulas.

Inferno and Quickstrike...their deaths are justified,but how they died was kind of stupid more than ironic....the Nemesis flames killed them off...wow.

And finally TMII Dinobot...just when he got the Original's memories,his survival seems impossible...if Beast Machines 'character inconsistency' didn't exist,I would've love to see him conquer the Earth as it's protector and then go back to Cybertron...with Waspinator.

The fact that Airrazor and Tigatron buggered off for so long, never to be seen again... I mean, for a good chunk of the series. I thought that was sucky.

It would seem even the natural incarnation of Starscream couldn't escape the predetermined haste of fate. Terrorsaur had plenty of potential to entertain us great plots and storylines.

Also I think Tigerhawk was killed off way too quickly. Even back then I was like, "What the heck?" at him being killed off so quickly.

It really was one of those "What the heck?" kind of moments, as Tigerhawk lasted for what it felt like, 5 seconds.

Yeah,the fact that they killed Tigerhawk off in such a short time really is a waste. And I wish they would have done something more with the bots back on Earth. In Beast Wars Heavy Metal(Series created by me),there's a two-part ending after "Nemmisis pt2" that's called "Aftermath".

In it,we get to find out what happens to TMII DB,Inferno,Waspinator,Quickstrike,Terrorsaur,and Skorponok.

Also,at the begining of Beast Machines Heavy Metal,we get to see both the Maximal ship,and the human village get attacked. Also,Dinobot,and several other characters end up on Cybertron,as reformated as their comrades,although Dinobot still has the clone's more "Mechanincal" optic.

Holy slag, I meantioned that I might have three episodes that were probably thought up but I didn't put up the third!

Third: ... I don't know the title (the lost episode?) but one of my first online friends sent me the script through yim. I'll try not to get into too much detail but here it goes:

A stasis pod falls; during a battle BA sneaks into the Maximal base and took an item that Dinobot stole when stealing the golden disk (when activated, this device can make you invincible and knock over even the toughest characters);

Cheetor finds the stasis pod and is introduced to Chickenator, who believes that he is a real super hero named 'Chicken Man' (Scott would be perfect for this role);

Chicken Man accuses Optimus (of all bots) of being a criminal. The Maximals and Predacons get into battle again, then realize that Chicken Man is too annoying so they get rid of him... at the cost of the item of awesomeness.

I'd send the script over but it has been purged from my hard drive since the great upgrade years ago... ergo: I lost it.

I have to agree with RC there. No offense but, are you sure that was a considered episode idea? Because that sounds more like a crakc fic to me. I'm sorry, but that just how it sounds to me.

Same thoughts. I would've prefered Inferno to go out defending the 'royalty'. His near death at the end of Season 2 would have been more fitting.

Chicken Man? CHICKEN man?!?!? You gotta be yankin me! Chickens, while related to T. Rex's, just aren't BW material, kinda like putting a poor defensive fawn in da middle o a mine field.... And dats exactly what happened to Chicken man.... cluck cluck... BOOM!!!

Anywhoz, alright WW, da rock ran into him.... but what bout when Optimus became Optimal Optimus and was tryin to save da Axalon. Ramapage missile didn't even explode it just hit him and he went into like stasis lock.

Wait, didn't Optimal Optimus use his arm to protect Optimus Prime's spark and it ricocheted off his arm, hit the Axalon, and it fell down that cliff in 2 pieces?
