Some of you guys may have noticed that the forums and the web site were down yesterday. Basically, we forgot to raise the money to pay the bills this year. Sapphire has dealt with it for now, but we need to get some savings put aside so that this doesn't happen again.
Anyone that can put aside a few extra dollars to help keep our beloved BWInt running, please contact me or especially Sapphire and let us know how much you can donate. This is our home; we should do our best to take care of it.
Thank Primus the site is back up! I almost had a spark-attack when I saw the "This Webpage has expired" bit,and kept checking back here for any development.
Hey all. Sorry about the scare. I got a scare too, since my webhost did not warn me the site was about to expire. November sneaked up on me. I'm actually surprised how fast this year has gone. Unbelieveably fast, as is to be expected, I suppose, when you've been as busy as I have. I had and do still intend to update the site to some degree, at least, this week. I'll get as much up as I can. The site is paid for another year, but having some money in the kitty to ensure this doesn't happen again would be a great help, especially since I'm on a financial-aid bursary right now just to keep afloat, so the sudden expense of $120 rather injured my limping finances. In any case, I am going to provide my Paypal address here: sapphire@bwint.net if anyone's able to paypal me a contribution. Any money is appreciated. This is the only purely Beast Wars site of considerable size left on the Internet. It would be a shame to let it close.
Sent you a Facebook message, Sapph. My Mom gave me some ideas for a more long-term plan for the site's financial care, so if you're interested in hearing what she suggested, lemme know ok? We can keep this place paid for a while yet, I'm sure....
Just so everyone knows, thanks to a few generous members, the site owner (mwa!) has been reimbursed for the 120$ it cost to renew the webhosting. I would still suggest that if you're willing to donate, do, because we don't want a repeat next year when suddenly we run out of funds and I have to scramble to pay out of pocket. Having some money in Bwint's kitty is rather useful.
