At any rate:

Let's say that the Beast Machines arc didn't happen right away. Let's say that the two factions continued to fight across prehistoric Earth. Most of the Predacons are gone, as are some Maximals. The Nemesis (and Darksyde) are trashed. Only Megatron and Waspinator (also Tarantulas, but that's a different story entirely!) remain for the Preds, and Waspinator quit. What would you have wanted to see in forthcoming seasons, and what would you think would actually happen?

Me? I think it would've been cool if Megs snuck onto the Ark somehow and reactivated all the ancient Decepticons to serve as his minions. Naturally, this would mean that the Maximals would have to revive Optimus Prime and the Autobots, since the die-cast construction of the G1 Transformers can withstand alot more punishment than their descendants. Maybe have some disillusionment on both sides as the descendants see that instead of legends, they (the Bots and Cons) are both fighting for the status quo, one to protect, and one to destroy. Much like themselves. Just ordinary bots fighting for what they believe in.

But I think that the show would have gone to more Vok/Tripredicus Council stuff. Maybe have the two run into each other while trying to dispose of Megatron. I dunno.

With that few Predacons there wouldnt really be much story to tell other then hunting down Megatron and arresting him at last.

Given that the Beast Wars could only end and go no further after Nemesis, the only logical way to continue the series would be to go back to Cybertron.

Let's say once back at Cybertron the Maximals find themselves in the midst of a brand new civil war between the Maximals and the Predacons. They get shot down and Megatron escapes. Megatron and the Maximals are then drafted into both their respective sides and forced to fight.

As the series drags on, the Maximals try to bring an end to the civil war and find that both governments, The Maximal Council of Elders and the Tripredicus Council have been infiltrated and subverted by a malevolent outside force and have been steadily manipulating both sides for decades, possibly even centuries, into a disastrous war that assures mutual destruction.

Megatron meanwhile tries to consolidate his power within the Predacon army whilst also trying to fend for his life against those in the Tripredicus council who would sooner see him dead. Though the Tri-C would rather see Megatron dead there are those that see his value in a time of war and as the agent of chaos the predacons need to inflict the heaviest casualties on the Maximals.

Eventually Megatron betrays the Tri-C and tries to bring about a peaceful resolution to the conflict, because as much as he loves power and war he would rather see the maximals in charge of cybertron then some aliens rule over them all.

It's all too little, too late however as said malevolent aliens warp into orbit with an overwhelming force numbering in the millions, enough to completely blacken the sky with their mere prescence.

It is then that the real fight for Cybertron, begins.

Hm...Interesting idea.

As season 3 ended with the Maximals and Megs going back to Cybertron, I agree with Razor One that it should take place on Cybertron.

Perhaps, though, as they return they find that the planet is being attacked by aliens. Perhaps the Vok. With the confusion and chaos a mass attack by the Vok would cause, it'd give Megatron the perfect opportunity to escape and rebuild his forces. In a way, it'd still go under that civil war/alien attack, but in opposite order...And the civil war would be happening during the attack.

I really don't know. With Rhinox taking Megatron away, either

A.) He'd have to find some way to get back to earth.

or

B.) As others have said already, the fight would be taken to Cybertron. I've never actually watched the last episode, but from what I know of it, there just isn't a way to revive the Beast Wars. Megatron is being carried away, Rampage is dead, Inferno is dead, Dinobot II is dead, Waspinator has defected, etc.

And in that case, a fight on Cybertron seems likely. Then again, you could take into account the stasis pods which could eventually land back down on earth (unless Primal retrieved them upon leaving Earth).

I just don't know. The final episode seems to finalize everything too well.
