Transwarp,Cybertron,and Vok Technology

Unread post by Wonko The Sane »

This one question came into my head as I was studying Geography.

If the Tripedacus Council never destroyed that Satellite, causing Cybertron to not know the Beast Warriors are alive(And in Earth),did you think that Transwarp expolsion will make the Cybertronians,Transmetal?

Then again I wasn't sure entirely. The explosion was a radiation of Vok technology, and the explosion affected some of the Warriors and made them Transmetal.I was going to say that the Beast Modes might have made this possible, until I remember that some are not affected....but does it raise the theory that the Vok selected some Cybertonains?

And here is what I remember.Optimus,Airazor,Blackarachnia,Tiagtron have all been exposed significanlty to Vok technology and has been either atacked or scanned. As for Blacarachnia, she used their technology,so the Vok knew who they were, but does it mean that select some others for more experimentation?Megatron,Transmetalized was free to use a Vok weapon, but was tricked to being scanned for experimentation, ths the Vok capturing Airazor and Tigatron was for more scientific analysis, resutling into Tigerhawk.

So,does that mean, that the Vok,first to make experiments on Earth, finally comes across the Beast Warriors and changes their experiments and creates better Transfromers?

Then again, let's go back to the Vok themselves. It was claimed that they were descendants of the Swarm, purified by Optimus Prime long ago with the Matrix. It was said they were thankful for the purification. So,does that mean that thw Swarm,so greatful to Optimus Prime, knew about them being here 4 million years in pre-historic Earth?it could mean that those experiments of theirs are specifically for any Transformer awakened before 1984 and,as curious as they are, will test it out,and be captured, scanned, and becomes a greater Transfromer like Tigerhawk.

Any Ideas on this?

I have no idea. It's all greek to me. I think the reason certain warriors didn't get it is because they were protoforms and got their bodies on the planet. The only reason Waspintor, Dinobot, and Rhinox didn't get it was because they were in the CRs at the time and protected. Or it might have just had something to do with the writers of the show and who they wanted transmetal and who they didn't...

From what I know, Artemis is right. I've read that Airrazor, Tigatron, and BlackArachnia weren't affected because they were "born" on Earth. Why this would make a different, I have no idea.
"What kind of geek goes and reads Hamlet after hearing Dinobot spiel off lines?"

"Oh nevermind. Why did I even ask?"

Just because they were 'born on Earth' does not mean the Vok will disregard them for being Transmetalized.I still believe that the Vok observed them while they were in one of their 'labs' and has no need to experiment on them anymore....

What I like to know is the Transmetal driver. In some day,do you think it has any relation to the Second Moon?

The explosion caused the Beast warriors to be Transmetal...I would think that some debris could have fallen on earth, and I think the Transmetal Driver might have been included...or maybe,it was part of that weapon Megatron was controlling...either way,he found it off-screen and he used it.

I think this is the best reason. I mean really, Scavenger instead of Inferno?

Going with the protoform theory, how does Optimus fit in there? His body was completely destroyed, and his spark later transferred to a protoform's, which was subsequently transmetal. He's had his body destroyed (I think it was anyway) before, and when Rhinox brought him back the first time he came back with his own body, not a transmetal or a Vok-based design.

I agree. When Megatron controlled their weapon I think they weren't prepared for transmetals, THAT time. But as we saw in S3, Tigerhawk was well able to handle the entire Predacon force--not to mention he was a transmetal fuzor as well.

Optmius was a different matter. He became Transmetalized I dont really know myself....

Huh,I found a loophole.

Theorycrafting Time!

What We Know.

All of the initial Cast members went transmetal, except for Rhinox, Dinobot and Waspinator.

Rhinox, Dinobot and Waspinator did not go transmetal as they were in CR facilities at the time the transwarp wave hit.

Introduced Characters (IE, Blackarachnia, Tigatron etc) did not go Transmetal.

All subsequent protoforms emerge either Transmetallised or partially so.

The Theory

Each transformer has a supply of internal nanotech that performs system maintenance and repairs. It's what allows Beast Warriors to repair automatically in beast mode.

Uncontrolled Nanotech can be extremely dangerous, hence there are safety protocols that the nanotech is hard wired from the moment the protoform mold has set to prevent runaway self replication or excessive deleterous errors.

Exposure to energon fields muddies the waters by damaging the nanotechs safety features. In the case of the beast wars this was a positive effect in that as Season 1 wears on, their internal nanites and field dampeners "Adapt" to the harsher environment allowing them to tolerate lengthier intervals of exposure.

When the transwarp wave front hit the earth, those that had been exposed to the energon fields longest and were unshielded became transmetals. The interaction of alien radiation with the nanotech enabled them to break their programming temporarily and rebuild each maximal and predacon into more optimal forms. When the radiation subsided past a certain critical level, the safety protocols kicked back in and reigned in the restructuring.

New protoforms are automatically transmetal from the get go. This is because the nanotech's safety protocols only activate after the protoform has formed and not before.

Fuzors occur because these particular bots were in the middle of adopting their more solid forms. This half-way process allowed them to become partially transmetal and retain a somewhat cybertronian standard.

Evidence for Fuzors being Cybertronian Standards:

No third alt mode.

Evidence for Fuzors being Transmetal:

Season 2 Other Visits, when the vok "Metal Hunter" stuns the entire cast, the ones that are still standing afterwards are all the Transmetal bots and the Fuzors.

Thus Fuzors combine elements of both and can be said to be partially transmetal.

That's my theory anyway, in a rather long winded, techno-babble ridden post.

But the explanation does fit :D

Wow, that's pretty good. Did you make up "Nanotech?" Or did I just miss a reference to it on Beast Wars?

Another thought--if the Vok were "purified" (I guess that means redeemed?) then how come they're so cruel on Beast Wars? They're hypocrits, too: they get angry at Megatron for experimenting with Time, but they themselves caprture, harm, and experiment on living Transformers. How Wacky is that?

I always hoped that there were good Vok and bad Vok...the wakked out scientists captured Tigatron and Air Razor but the purified aliens were looking out for the good of the universe by keeping Time straight. I have absolutely no evidence for this theory--I made it up. Nevertheless it will appear in Cybertronian Civil War.

That's very true. After looking at it,they wanted to create thir own Transformers as great as Optimus Prime, and since the Beast warriors were there, they decided to use them for their goal...I know, they are quite messed up,even with Prime's purification.
