The Intergalactic Highway

Okay, this is a bit similar to Everblue's Deceased Character you think deserved to live thread, but narrowed down some. Here's why. I was thinking...even though, as in the Botcon comics, Tigatron and Airrazor are back to life as Transmetals, and even though, as shown in the Beast Wars Sourcebooks, Terrorsaur and Scorponok actually lived through their lava bath and became Transmetals as well, that did not stop me from pondering which pair, the Maximal or Predacon one, should have been kept from being taken out of the picture/killed in the first place. Basically, this is to ask if you think Tig and AR should have not been captured by the plant, made into Tigerhawk and vaporized, or if you think Terry and Scorp should not have rammed their floating platforms into one another and fallen into that lava. Are both pairs actually alive now and Transmetals? Of course. Does this stop me from wondering which one should not have been removed in the first place? Heck no. So, call it a popularity contest, call it a debate on who'd have served the story better, call it whatever ya want. The point is, if it was up to you, would you have made it so Tigatron and Airrazor got to stay while Scorponok and Terrorsaur got tossed away, or vise versa?

That is a very tough choice both have their positives with very little negatives. Personally the only deaths in the series I liked were: Dinobots', Tarantulas', Depothcharge's, and rampage's.

I guess if someone put a gun to my head and forced me to choose I would take Terrosaur and Scorponok. Mostly because Megatron needs more loyal followers (Scorponok) and I liked the was Terrosaur interacted with Megatrona and Waspinator. ALos we already have one maximal couple between blackarachnia and silverbolt and it would get crowded if there was a second.

I voted Terrorsaur and Scorponok because of how much I fangirl over them. Terrorsaur because I love him a lot, plain and simple, and Scorponok because of that moment in 'Power Surge.'

Would be Terrorsaur and Scorponok. I loved Terrorsaur in the episode when he got fueled by energon and took over the Predacons, and overall I thought he was a great character.

Scorponok would have been great to live on, not only as it would be another loyal follower to Megatron, but of the conflict there would have been between him and Inferno - who got the unofficial 'second in command' position when Scorponok died, but it would have been great to see the two collide and compete as to who would be Megs' 'favourite'.

They were fun to watch. Scorponok being the loyal dependable one and Terrorsaur a strange starscream imitation. I think they took Scorponok out so that Quickstrike could fit into the story. As for Terrorsaur maybe they just hated him.
I wanted to ask where can I find some info about this two kept alive and transmetalised?

I did like Tigatron, and Airazor but the writers used them as scouts all the time and I didn't like the fact that they were soldiers but only appeared sometimes.

And as Guruhamboy said It would be fun to watch Scorponok and Inferno fighting for Megatron's approval. They could've made an episode out of that during first season.

I haven't voted yet on the poll because I'm just downright indecisive when it comes to this.

I like both pairs. Airazor and Tigatron could have definitely used more characterization, particularly with their newfound romance. It would have been interesting to see (though I agree with Scourge about the crowded thing).

Terrorsaur and Scorponok...Terrorsaur was sort of okay, it was Scorponok who lacked characterization. It would have been nice to see some sort of backstory to him, such as how he came to be so loyal to Megs....

For you, U-Man, if you want information on the transmetalization of Scorp and Terry, read the Beast Wars Sourcebook # 3 and 4. They have those two and quite a few others, as well, be they in the show or not.

Tee hee, the way the question was phrased it sounds like you're saying that Terrorsaur and Scorpinok were a couple.... wait.... they did bicker alot...

Its a tough call but I'd lean more toward T and S because I have a soft spot for Scorpinok. If Scropy had survived, we wouldn't have been given Quickstrike (who I feel is the weakest character in the series) and Megs would have had his right hand man back, along with his biggest rival which would have made things interesting. TM2 Terrorsaur with delusions of grandeur vs Mega Megatron... that would have been a fun fight

I think Tigatron and Airazor should have stayed. But also I think Terrorsaur should have as well. I'm not really bothered by Scorponok getting killed off. *Ducks to avoid any projectitles thrown by Scorponok fans*

Scorpy and Terrorsaur. The latter and waspy were a cracking team, and he had an interesting beast mode.

Scorps...well, okay not as much characterisation, but I could picture some hilarious moments with him and inferno bickering.

Plus, I wanted to see them as TRANSMETALS, slaggit! :<
