As said in the Beast Wars Sourcebook Dirge was a prankster and a manipulator,kind of a sloth as well if analyzed correctly.However,with Dirgegun he can be more manipulative........

I think he's more of Egomaniac with a hint of Female and the real Screame,but that will depend on Marty and Co.They may make him as an entirely different characters as the Constructicons.

G1 Dirge, which they're basing the color scheme on (blue/light brown/black), was basically just a thug, that was as far as his personality went.

I looked up the latest TFA news for season three. Thios is what I found on the site that features the latst updates.

After the "terrible but turning out to not be that bad" news for UK Transformers Animated fans it is unfortunately time for us to bring you some bad news after all. We have been in touch with Entertainment Rights who hold the International Distribution rights for Transformers Animated and asked them for an update on the UK terrestrial airing situation for Transformers Animated. The answer was that GMTV, who are the station who have been in negotiations for broadcasting the show, have been some what slow in their discussions with Entertainment Rights. We have been told that there is still a chance that the show will air in the Spring of 2009 to coincide with the release of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

However, and before anyone starts to moan, we (the collected Transformers fans from around the world) can change this and ER have given us their blessing to create a petition for fellow Transformers fans to sign to show GMTV the support and demand that exists to have the current Transformers show broadcast on a free-to-air channel within the UK. As such we have created a petition over at PetitionOnline.com which we urge you all to go and sign. We will be passing the URL along to Entertainment Rights who, assuming the support is strong enough, can present it directly to GMTV. So what are you waiting for. Go sign it and spread the links

Rodimus Prime:

Bio:Rodimus Prime was dubbed 'The chosen one' in the Autobot Academy.He is well liked and highly skilled.Rodimus is a natual leader and seemingly on the fast track to becoming Magnus.He is exceptionally skilled in servo to servo combat as well as being a master of many Autobot defensive weapons.His armament of choice is an energy bow of his own design.

Function:Cavalier

After reading his bio I couldn't help but LOL for a good 10 seconds.This Rodimus beats all Rodimus' in one single blow.No longer the weak predecessor of Optimus Prime in G1;now,he's the highly skilled predecessor of Ultra Magnus.Based on this bio I see many kids will like this guy and buy his toy and shove all insults of the G1 people right up their rears.

But an update for Rodimus is what I really looked for.Skilled fighter,intelligent(Designing that bow and arrow),loyal,and a natural born leader...I feel as if this is what Beast Wars Cheetor was going to get himself into after the end of Beast Machines.This new character I will be glad to review in the future,such as long as the writers pen him correctly(ie.Staging up Optimus a little).


Ironhide:

Bio:Ironhide is an easy going country bot,with the ability to transform his exterior into a super dense.nearly invulnerable alloy able to withstand almost any impact or blast.Ironhide was protoformed in a small rural prefecture far away from the big Cybertronian cities.He is often filled with wide eyed amazment over the smallest things in the Galaxy.Though jovial and good natured,sometimes his pranks can get a bit crude.

Function:Security

This one has been viewed in Season II,and his character was barely developed in 'Autoboot Camp'.Now I can review him a little bit more.Comparing him to G1 and Movie Ironhide was already thrown out for me,since he is a new character in the bio.

It is odd that he has a similar origin to Bulkhead(Being protoformed in rural areas)and is a positive character...at first I thought this was contradictory to his actions in 'Autoboot camp',but he also creates pranks that are a little on the torture-esque side.In order to review him properly(And save from character contradiction)Ironhide must provide more lines.

Bio:Red Alert is one of the most skilled surgeons on Cybertron.Her bedside manner may be a little brusque but she is immensely talented and has had a much practical experience as a combat medic.Red Alert's left hand has been modified into an instument that can emit a wide spectrum of light based facilities.This can be used to scan patients for internal damage or via focused hard light technology,can become stretchers and laster scalpels.

Function:Field Medic

Unfortunately,I don't know much of G1,nor Unicron Trilogy to figure out if Red Alert is the same as her male incarnations,but based on reading Ironhide and Rodimus...she may be a new character all-together.Her arm has a built-in E.M.P(Possibly advanced as well).I see a theme that this new team of Autobots is upstaging our regular ones,so it will not be a surprise if she upstages Ratchet with her powers and medical intelligence.

Bio:Hot Shot is and inexperienced young bot who lives in the fast lane.His incredible speed makes him one of the first to throw himself into a battle albeit sometimes a bit haphazardly.His arms are able to convert into welding torches that can be used for building and repair.He can also use them as fireball or flame thorwers in battle.

Function: Pyrotechnics

Finally!As originally going to be in the regular cast(And was bumped off because of BumbleBee's sudden popularity)he is under the same character molding of his Unicron Trilogy counterpart(Yes,I have seen some Episodes of Cybertron)with fire powers.

But after reading the biography,I fear that recycled character development may be in the works again for BumbleBee,if another speed freak comes into the picture...the future development of BB may be tarnished,and will go back into wanting to be top speed freak instead of a mature solider.Dammit Hot Shot!


Brawn:

Bio:Brawn is a tough little guy.Smaller than BumbleBee and stronger than Bulkhead,Brawn brings brute force to Rodimus Prime's defense team.Often underestimated,he's a grumby bot who likes to let his fists do the talking.

Function:Demolitions

Looks a lot like his G1 self and may be his G1 self,with extra strength features.Besides future short jokes coming for him,this guy may not have a strong role and may be for comic relief...but I hope to be wrong,since I do expect character development for him.


On a side note:No one in this team is upstaging Prowl...oh well,there's still Jazz.

Same here. My guess is:Either one must be a member (Which is highly unlikely),or the pictures were moved/deleated/taken off because of copywrite issues.

Bio:Strika is Megatron's personally chosen 'General of Destruction'.Strika lives for the glory of war.She is immensely strong and has a brilliant military tactical mind.Strika Transforms into a multi-wheeled heavily armoured battle tank with enormous fire power.She brough the Deceptcons many victories during the Great War(s).She is also the consort of Lugnut.

Now that I finished watching Beast Machines as of this week,I feel a little disappointed...no her character is fine,and accurate to her Beast Machines persona...but the fact that she's Lugnut's consort I was screaming 'NO!' in my head.Why?Because my favourite character,Obsidian,is blown out of the picture for Animated...however I am surprised that Lugnut actually has a femme back in Cybertron and never once mentioned her(Of course,the writers never thought about the connection as of Seasons I and II).Though Obsidian may never come,at least we have Strika,and,we see more of that intelligence from Beast Machines.

Bio:Cyclonus is cold and harst.His origins are clad in mystery.Having suddenly appeared on New Kaon long after.The Great War(s) had ended.He is nilhilstic,caring for nothing,and insistent that nothing matter because the end is near.

Function:Saboteur

A mysterious origin could give me the idea that Unicron may show up sometime in the Animated Universe(This Season or the next,if possible).Cyclonus is pretty much the same from his G1 counterpart,and,as I hope,that Megatron will not be reformatted into Galvatron...then again,if Unicron does indeed show up,there could be a possibility for Galvatron to 'rise up' from Megatron.


Blackout:

Note:No picture has been found of him yet.

Bio:Blackout is the most massive Decepticon that has ever been seen by an Autobot.Few live to tell the tale of encountering this hulking brute covered from stem to stem in heavey ordnance.Decepticon lore heralds Blackout as having single handedly obiterated several Omega Sentinels before falling himself at the end of the Great War(s).

Function:Shock and Awe

Though not much is said about him the Movie,this is a pretty good idea to develop him now that he's dead in the Movieverse.If he is a legendary destroyer of the Autobots and a Great Wars veteran,I wonder what his tactics of elimination might be(Possibly similar to his Movie version of fighting).Although this is a leap of faith,I do hope something dark comes out of him based on his bio...but I guess that leaves it to the writers again.


Spittor:

Note:No picture has been found of him either.

Bio:Spittor disgusts even other Decepticons.He is lazy and dishonest.Spittor is constantly slobbering,oozing slime and bad smelling.In his bipedal all terrain walking mode,Spittor lashes out tongue-like cables to grab and swallow his victims.Once inside his mouth,prey is either digested,or coated in a combustible slime then spat our to explode on impact.

Function:Waste Disposal

I was lucky to read Beast Wars:Gathering and Sourcebook this weekend to know what Spittor may become in Animated.However,the bio states more of what his main attack is,but sheds light to what his character is.His attack is like his Beast Wars self,but his sloth is not.Unlike his Beast Wars Robot Mode,he resembles more of his Beast Mode in Gathering.I'm interested to see where he will lead himself in this Universe.

Bio: Oil Slick is a smooth and calculating Decepticon chemical weapons specialist,a brilliant scientist that uses all of his mental might to design the tools of war.His cruelist invention is an adaption of the deadly Cosmic Rust cyber-virus,which he transformed into the weapons of grade gel.If not treated with an antidote immediately,those striken with Cosmic Rust will slowly corrode away,right down to the Spark Chamber.

Function:Chemical Warfare

Dang a Decpeticon...I thought he'd be an Autobot,but I never read the Animated Comics,nor bothered to buy his toy until Reviewing him.On his biography,the idea of him inventing Cosmic Rust is a close nod to World War I technology,where Mustard and Chlorine gas was made and causes a great load of pain and suffering in the trenches.So,I have an idea that a filler Episode based on Cosmic Rust might happen...it did with the Space Barnicles.

As for Oil Slick himself,he reminds me of Antagony from the Beast Wars Comics,being a chemical warfare specialist herself.I can't compare the two just yet,as the only difference I can think of right now is that Antagony thinks highly of herself,but Oil Slick may be under that idea,but,it is not mentioned in his bio.

Now I can wait patiently for March.

LUGNUT's CONSORT?! Oh man,that's funny! Thanks for posting these! I'm most eager to see all these characters,but Animated Strika,Red Alert,and Rodimus in paticular. This new Rodimus sounds like he's ready to kick some serious skidplate!
