Awwww Ebay! I bought the first and third there... and I found the second earlier at a suncoast (almost wetting myself with excitement) only took me a month or so all together to watch all three seasons. And NOW I'm watching them all again! (already half way through the first season) to decide which episodes I like the most so as of now...
I dunno... I'm fond of any episode with an inside joke or great scene with the insects or rattrap!

I'm putting my favorite eps here Season by Season. Uhm... that's 'cause I haven't seen Seasons 2 and 3 yet...
Season 1
1. Law of the Jungle - because it deals with death in one of the most beautiful ways I've ever seen. And Tigatron gets to be all philosophical again.
2. Gorilla Warfare - because it is so cool seeing Optimus go off the deep end all of a sudden. And Gary Chalk portrayed the 'Berserker Optimus' perfectly.
3. Dark Designs - oh boy.... ooooooh boy... I love the Pred Rhinox, simply love. Perfect voice, great personality, crafty and the coolest theme music (while stomping down the corridor before Terrorsaur startles him).
4. Call of the Wild - it's great to see the Maximals act like their Beast Forms, and Tigatron rescuing them by going all philosophical about bringing the Beast and Robot together. 'Till all are one' just got itself a new meaning. Plus I loved it when Rhinox told the two other Maximals to 'SHUT THE SLAG UP!' in his own controlled way.
5. Dark Voyage - Maximals... blind? One of the best story ideas, especially when it's Rhinox leading them. It's just wonderful to see that the Maximals can still survive, even if their systems are offline and they can't see. Talk about guts and a will to survive. ^_____^

Tigatron's tiger friend... Snowstalker. Her death caused Tigatron to leave the war behind him, but in the end he joined it again to help the other Maximals.Tigerhawk wrote:Who dies in Law of the Jungle?

And here:
Season 2
1. Code Of Hero - at first I thought I wouldn't like this episode as much as normal BW fans would, but I was wrong. I love this episode... it is one of the most emotional episodes of TF's I've ever seen. I think probably close second would be the episode of Victory, where God Ginrai dies. My favorite part of this episode was the scene of Dinobot's funeral ceremony. The music, the 'Missing Man Formation', the funeral pyre, the light of the sun, everything in this scene made me cry for five minutes straight. I realized now how beautiful that music was. I actually didn't like Dinobot that much (I hated that snarl he always made), but he was a hero and truly deserved his place in the Matrix. Salute to Dinobot, the other Maximals and the makers of this episode. Especially the score composer, the animators, the writer and the voice actors.
2. Aftermath - the humor is excellent. I loved the scene where Cheetor found out that he had jets. His reaction was so hilarious when he flew straight into that corridor (especially the yell he made just before he went there.. ya know, after Tigs' 'Whoa') and yelled 'How do you work these things!?'. And Rattrap had a perfect voice and line when he said 'I'm a rat with wheels. Cool.' And Rhinox in a bad mood is something you don't wanna mess with.
3. Bad Spark - what more can you expect than me to keep in high regard an episode where one of my favorite characters is introduced?
4. Coming of the Fuzors Part 1/2 (I count them as one episode... hee!) - I loved the Western Theme they had there. Plus the little part in the end of Part 1 was great, ya know, the strange angles, the great face pics, the weapons being loaded or sharpened, the little bit with Rhinox, the lining up, the music. And the part just before that where Dinobot lowered the weapon rack (orwhatwasit). Btw, my favorite angle was that when the Preds and the Maxis got themselves in a bird's-eye view. It was so dramatic! Plus the Western 'brown freezing' and the scene burning. Then in Part 2 I loved the scene where Rattrap threw the rock and it was blown to pieces (Dinobot and Rattrap's eyes were hilarious), and then the firm kick in the aft Rattrap gave Cheetor, and Dinobot's reaction to getting on vehicle-mode-Rattrap.
Heeheehee... that was nothing short of a very bumpy ride. Dinobot's head looked hilarious while bouncing like that. I really expected his helmet to drop over his eyes. Um... did Rhinox's sudden burst of poetry belong to the Western theme or something...? I mean, 'Comes.. the dawn'? That doesn't sound very... normal. Plus I loved it when Optimus showed up. His lines were really perfect.. plus I actually like his new looks. At first I was like 'Eew' and now I realized that he looks quite a lot more expressive (the nose I don't like, but otherwise he's good-looking). 'Well that's just prime'. But my favorite line of the whole episode was 'My turn'. Thatl line just sounded so.. I dunno what... determined or something? Gruff. Yay, I love gruff (that's probably why I like Depthcharge). 'I like your resume'.. was that ironic or what kind of humor was that? And Silverbolt had the cutest expression after that. The scene with Dinobot making Rattrap's chair wheel around was funny, too. And the final scene was hilarious. Which of them, you ask? The part where Megatron struck Tarantulas and slammed him against the back wall. It was so hilarious hearing the 'OOF!' and seeing the spider slide down the wall. Funny, funny, funny!
5. Agenda Part 1/2/3 - do I even need to explain? Ravage. Oh boy, he sure looks awesome.
A good runner-up episode is Other Visits Part 1, because of the fist fight Rhinox and Inferno have inside the Axalon. Rhinox's line 'That hurt' sounded great and it was so funny seeing Inferno's head pop up and Rhinox just cocking his head to look at him.
He was so easy with that, like if he held that as a normal thing to happen during a fist fight. Plus the part where Megatron pushes Inferno's head back down. Megatron himself looked hilarious, because he used that much force and bent down so much. I was seriously expecting a 'BOING' sound when he came back up. Btw, I hate Inferno's aft. It looks horrible, sticking out behind him like a horizontal flagpole or something.
And Transmutate is a perfect episode, too. It shows that Rampage has a soft side. And I love that. How much empathy can a much-suffered bot like he hold...? Hmm... I must say this strengthened his 'grip' on me. And I loved it how he tried to defend Transmutate from Inferno. Even if he's a mass murderer and more, he still could be a true friend. If he wouldn't be such a psychopath, I believe I'd want a friend (or even boyfriend) just like him. I also love how soft his voice turned. I actually think Transmutate's face was kinda cute. I loved it how her emotions showed so well on her face (yeah, I think it's a femme... so what?). And I feel sorry for Rampage.. he lost the only one who could have understood him.

I may as well give my reasons for liking the episodes I liked.
1) The Agenda Trilogy - This was the focal point of the series. Many people consider Code of Hero to be the turning point of the show but I consider this trilogy to be it. This was when Beast Wars had fully embraced the underappreciated art of story arc driven writing. They do a fabulous job of it too, allowing all the characters to show what they're capable of from Rattrap's cunning to Rampage's raw power to Inferno's insanity. The action and suspense is plentiful and the ending with Megatron destroying the time-space continuum was marvelous to behold.
2) Power Surge - This episode really plays off Beast Wars' strength during Season one. It's a straightforward action story that sprinkles both intense action and character development into the mix. We get a glimpse of how turbulent Predacon society can be and we see Optimus and Rattrap gaining more respect for each other towards the end.
3) The Spark - The Spark holds dear to me as it shows just how much the Maximals care about each other and how much they're willing to sacrifice themselves to help others. Cheetor, Rhinox, and Tigatron risked their lives to go into uncharted Predacon territory with dangerous energon levels just to save a life. It's a shame that this level of compassion would be lost in the Maximal team by the time Season 3 rolls around.
4) Beast Wars Pt 2 - It's the first really good BW episode in the series. There's action, suspense, drama, and much more. Anyone who says that Beast Wars' beginning episodes were bad REALLY needs to re-watch this episode and see EXACTLY what Beast Wars is all about.
5) Deep Metal - This is one precious gem in a sea of garbage during Season 3. We see exactly how intense and driven Depth Charge is and how nothing will stand in the way of his obsession. Also, this is Rampage's best appearance since Bad Spark. Here, we see him exactly the way he should be portrayed, as an evil war machine, spewing death and destruction wherever he goes, whether it's on Omicron or Earth. His sheer viciousness in this episode is astounding.

Heck yes, about 17 dollars cheaper for me... which was... for a cheapskate like me... worth the wait.Tigerhawk wrote:Why from EBay was it cheaper than at Best Buy.
And right on alls! I still haven't decided which I like best... probably won't ever... but I'd have to say I'd end up doing the same thing as safegaurd and picking them per season. If I wasn't lazy...
