since we r goin on about vague innuendos here...
me and my friend (who HATES BW btw ) used to argue a lot about the CG things Silver was talking about...in particular cheetor and tigatron's very large triangular plates in the abdominal area...she used to say:
"what are they trying to hide?!" and things like "what's under there?"
i never answered her...
i found blackarachnia's robot disturbing anyway...esp the boobs (soz is tht inappropriate?) in fact, coz this is a muslim country, they censored her in every ep until 'the low road'! i never even knew she existed coz her introductory ep was cancelled altogether!! i never knew what she looked like until tht one day and i said 'who the hell is that?!'
i remember my sis commenting about her appearance: "blimey, that's a bit naughty for a kids' show, isnt it?"
where her spider eyes go in robot mode creeps me out...

Wow Janga, thats quite funny. So how did they censor her. A large black box to cover the naughty bits or just cut her scenes out but left dialog in?

I suppose talking from a character side (and not the oh look a boy is defending the fact that a female pred has been created this way side) Blackarachnia uses her sexuality as a great weapon throughout the series. Its arguably her greatest weapon (thats not to say that she can't kick some major butt and come up with some ingenious tricks). It was the way she could get close enough to Tarantulas and Quickstrike to get them to do her bidding from time to time. Airrazor was much more toned down, and that fit her character perfectly. She wasn't interested in flirting and playing games with her teammates (largely because she was a pure maximal but also because she flew down the straight a narrow path) and her physical characteristics exhibited that. That being said, Venus did such a great job of portraying Blackarachnia, that you could believe that she had all these other male characters enchanted just by the way she carried herself so physical "enhancement" was not necessarily that important. However, like with all the characters, the animators went with what the voice actors brought across in their roles, which is why we love this series so much. The fusion of great writing, acting and CG.

Whoa.. I hope that rant wasn't too serious for anyone on this thread, if anyone understands anything about me by now, its most assuredly that I can't avoid a good rant when an opportunity arises.

well, im afraid to say that this country could never bother with big black boxes coz ppl would be wondering what's under them but they did just cut scenes and leave a bit of the dialougue in..
actually, there was this one bit in the trigger where she say blackarachnia terrori- and it just cuts to an image of her back...wierd
but i agree with everything you said about her sexuality being used as a weapon...it reminds me a little about a streetcar named desire...but not quite as extreme...air razor was the humble one in my eyes

May I? I noticed some things as well.

In episode 'Chain of Command', when Rampage fired that missile in beast mode, it shot out of his back end.
When my best friend and I watched it first on TV and saw that, we were howling in laughter -"It came out of his rear! His REAR!" we kept saying XD

In episode 'Deep Metal': 1) Rampage tackle-glomped Depth Charge! XD Really funny when you actually think about it.

-and 2) DC tried to shake him off by blasting his jets in the crab's face. Thing is, the jets on his beast mode are placed where a manta ray's 'privates' are. XD
So the line "You want 'amusing', creep?" accompanied by that action is just-... *snicker* LOL I simply cracked up.

How about in the first episode where Optimus and rattrap are riding Rhinox?

Oh! I know this is blatant, but here's a question: In "Coming of the Fuzors, part 2" (and if you have a mind as gutterminded as mine, you would find this title very naughty), Dinobot gets shot in an area that you wouldn't've guessed a robot would be sensitive in. In the Season One Other V-titled episode, Rattrap kicked Waspy in the same area. Is this an indication of some heretofore unmentioned anatomy?

Or the "bearings of chrome steel" that Rhinox commented upon in "Beast Wars, Part 2"?
