Beast Wars fics you can't find but were awsome...

After reading Vampyerba's post in the general section, I thought this up and decided to make it into a new topic.

So how many of you recall reading a fic that you were completely in love with only to find the next day (or some time when you really want to read it again) that it's no where to be found and you haven't saved it?

My experience was with a Beast Wars fanfic around the year I first signed up with FF.net. It was about a protoform being found by the Predacons but instead of the usual reprograming, Megatron used some sort of weird program to link himself with the new Predacon and calling her Snow Phantom. The Maximals eventually find out how she's being controlled and Rhinox figures out that the only way to free her from Megatron's control is to put another chip in her of course the only risk is that she and the volunteer could die. (Optimus volunteered, naturally). Not saying any more in case it's still out there.

What's worse is that I don't remember the title (could be Snowlily but not really sure) or who wrote it.

Have any of you had this experience?

The anonymous author I talked about earlier: Tarantulas somehow finds a way back into Blackarachnia after she is with the maximals. The author decided to keep Dinobot alive at this point. She ends up almost driving herself to suicide...and it ends as if to be continued to it never was. The author went by the name oif ehr email adress...dawn something.

Also....one of Brat Bots old series. It was about Depthcharges life on Cybertron....how he guarded protoform X. But he was in love with a girl who was royalty. The one night he decides to spend the night with her...protoform X escapes. DC leaves early...and when he finds out X has escaped, he goes back to find his GF...and sees that X has killed her whole family, so he assumes she is dead. When yet...she was the only one to escape and she thinks the same fate for him.

Yep. A fic where the maximals and predacons go to a carnival. havoc ensues. it was perfect.

You know, I've always tried remembering a certain line in the story/song/poem/whatever that I can't find, and then typing it into Google with quotation marks around it. Most recently I lost a guide that someone wrote up for a video game (massive hard drive failure...so annoying...) and I remembered a certain pattern of arrows they had placed in the guide (it was a sequence to tell you what turns to take to get to a secret area). I typed it into Google with quotations, and it found it within the first 5 matches.
