I just purchased Powercore Combiners Huffer and the new Seaspray figures.
I'm interested to see where how the rest of the combiners go but I'm reasonably impressed with Huffer. The multi-purpose minicon is an interesting gimmick and the Huffer figure itself is a little unsteady on its feet, but its vehicle mode is really shiny. He's currently sitting on the back of Seaspray in vehicle mode as well.
I gotta say I really love Seaspray. He is huge! Compared to his old school version (which I had and lost and now vow to purchase one at AA or Botcon ) he is quite massive and a very nice figure overall. I won't go into a full review rant here, but I'll say I'm impressed. Maybe it would have been better if he was $10 or $20 cheaper, but considering he's one of the few figures that have really leapt out at me and said "BUY ME!" I'll take it for what it is

If you're going to blame someone for TFA's abrupt ending, blame Cartoon Network. According to Derrick Wyatt (TF lead design artist), Hasbro wanted another season, but since they were eventually getting their own network late this year, Cartoon Network wanted nothing to do with them and canned it. It's also why there are no plans to release Season 3 of the show on DVD (CN partially owns the rights and doesn't want to release them), and why the last season of the show aired so early in the morning and was barely advertised. Hasbro's hurting a little from it, too-- they've still got about 10-12 Animated toys (that we've seen, at least) that were planned to be released, but it looks like only 2 more will be released in the states (Ironhide & Rodimus Minor, as TRU exclusives this fall).
We've also got the Helicopter and the Fire Truck guy (can't recall the names) on shelf as well, but I haven't spent any monies on them yet. Do the power core combiners of that range combine with each other of will there be smaller robots to make the limbs (i.e. in the traditional way of combining)?

Helicopter's Searchlight w/ Minicon Backwind, the BRUSH truck is Smolder w/ Minicon Chopster. No, they don't combine with each other, their gestalt torso mode combines with the limbs that come with the 5-pack Power Core Combiners. So the torsos can be swapped out, and the legs and arms for each combiner can be swapped out (legs with legs and arms with arms), but they aren't all compatible. Also, the Minicons can combine onto all the torsos to form armor or something.

Thats probably true. Except for Seaspray! I've been looking forward to him ever since I saw a review

The one thing that I am sad about not pre-ordering is the Takara Unicron figure. That thing is soo pretty and I love the new head mould. I would have been impressed if they got rid of the minicon and remoulded the outer shell to accommodate that, but overall, very impressed with what I've seen. If they have one at AA it may be very tempting to put down some monies
EDIT: I just picked up the four Transformers Generations figures from Big W. Priced at the usual Deluxe range of $25AU they will fit nicely into my classics collection Love how they have War for Cybertron figures. I'm hoping they bring out more

Nah, I'd only do something like that if I was really desperate and pretty certain I wouldn't find them over here. They're the first waves of a new toyline, they're going to be everywhere soon enough, I can wait. Thanks the offer, though.
And you know they're eventually coming out with WFC Megatron & Soundwave too, right?
Yeah! I saw the piccies. They look very pretty It would be cool if we got Soundwave's cassettes as well, but by the look of the figure its a little doubtful. Still there's plenty of awesome to go round as it is
