Anybody thinking about buying ROTF toys...Now's a good time
Well, this is definately unexpected. I just found out about this "Double Your Action" Giveaway that Hasbro is doing. Supposedly, if you buy $25 or more on certain TF items, they will give you 3 deluxe class figures for free (and wouldn't that quadruple your action then? >.> Whatever.)
I really didn't like the ROTF movie but what the hey, maybe now I will get Ravage I've been debating about after all. Buy one, get 3 extra ones? Sure, why not.
Anyway, here is the link:

You know, that was exactly what I was thinking. I thought it was a joke at first when I heard about it on another board but sure enough, there it was on Hasbro's website. I mean, I really don't see companies just giving stuff away.Lady Venom wrote:I don't know why, but this kind of makes me laugh... Oh, yeah I forgot. They are also doing something similar with the Star Wars line. Right here: http://www.hasbro.com/starwars/en_US/di ... -giveaway/
If I don't go for the the TF one I might go for the Star Wars deal. I'm seeing Christmas presents.

Actually, ROTF is the best-selling Transformers toyline of all time. It was intially the TF1 toys (and before that, G1), but then ROTF surpassed those sales. The only reason you see more ROTF toys in stores is because, unlike with TF1, Hasbro was ready for the huge demand and produced substantially more. However, in about another month it'll be time for Hasbro to switch to the next TF line, so part of it is probably to get rid of the remaining shelfwarmers and get more of the last ROTF product wave onto shelves. Spring is also traditionally the time of the year when toys sell much more slowly for some reason, so there's that as well.Lady Venom wrote:I don't know why, but this kind of makes me laugh... As for ROTF toys, if you're considering taking advantage of the sale I think the following toys are ROTF's cream-of-the-crop:
-legends class Springer
-legends class Wheelie
-Scattorshot
-Ejector
-Depth Charge (or his repaint, Sonar)
-Skystalker
-deluxe class Sideswipe (or Swerve, his remold)
-deluxe class Bumblebee (non-Cannon version)
-Autobot Gears
-deluxe Jolt
-Lockdown
-voyager class Long Haul
-Bludgeon
-Mindwipe
-Recon Ironhide
-Human Alliance Bumblebee w/ Sam Witwicky
-Human Alliance Skids w/ Mikaela Banes & Arcee
-Human Alliance Barricade w/ Frenzy
-leader class Optimus Prime

I think you should buy just one toy, and read its instructions. Some can be dificult, but none are impossible. As much as i love TF's i won't by the toys. I don't even have the patients to do a puzzle much less try to transform a toy.
I hate puzzles too, but I love Transformers toys. This is more like reading an entertaining manual then putting a puzzle together.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Aw frag, really? I'm out of the loop when it comes to toys. Did they ever make Robot Heroes for Transformers Animated? I was hoping for a cute Depth Charge and Rampage, too. And more (easily bought) Animated toys in general. I was looking forward to grabbing Arcee, but she was made an exclusive. Blast you Hasbro, blast you!! *shakes fist dramatically*Beastbot wrote: Might be a little late for that, unfortunately. The Robot Heroes sub-line is done with.

Ah ha!

Here you go. Ebay for the win
I'd recommend night hunter checking ebay out for them as well. You should be able to find some nice lots floating around and get a whole bunch of the little critters
I personally think the G1 figures were the best because they easily translated into SD mode however I gotta say that my all time favourite is TM Megs

Oh, thank you Silver. I have the Robot Heroes Acree already. ^^; I meant that I don't have TFA Arcee because she was made a very limited numbers at Toys R Us, which I can't get to.... and finding her online is a nightmare.
Pardon me for the confusing you. ^^; xD

No, no Animated Robot Heroes. According to Hasbro, Animated was already sorta cutesy, so it sorta defeated the purpose of them. Takara's released some super-deformed Animated toys, though. The BW Robot Heroes were Megatron, Primal, TM Megatron, Silverbolt, Rattrap, Tarantulas, Blackarachnia, Cheetor, Rhinox, Waspinator, and the released-only-in-Europe Tigatron & Inferno.Starath wrote:Aw frag, really? As for Animated Arcee- yes, she was released over in Japan as well, hit shelves about a week or two ago over there if I'm not mistaken. But her preorders on most online stores for that version are sold out, as well.

Hmm, so if I want TFA chibis I'll have to go to Takara. I can sort of see Hasbro's reasoning with skipping TFA Robot Heroes, but the way the company shut TFA down as a series (and toy line) still makes me mad at them.
At least I managed to get BW TM Megatron and Silverbolt as Robot Heroes. Megatron makes me especially happy.
I heard about TFA Arcee being released in Japan not that long ago. It doesn't surprise me that she's already sold out in most places. =\ Other TFA fans and I are hoping that Hasbro/Takara will see there's still a big demand for TFA toys and make more (of the ones already released) but the Hasbro's track record for TFA isn't very good to begin with. Aw, well. Arcee was supposed to be my last collected toy. If I don't get her, I can put that off. xD
