I was voting for Dinobot, as many days as I could remember to vote. I wrote the message originally saying today was the last day to vote for him, but then I went to the site and realized that when they said "voting closes May 28th" they didn't mean "May 28th is the last day to vote".

Ohhh, I see what you mean. I really do think that Hasbro should have said that it ended on the 27th 'cause it is a little misleading. I actually shot myself in the foot because I must have voted around midnight a couple days ago so I couldn't vote on the 27th or the 28th.

I am still not sure about Hasbro's reasoning behind this whole Hall of Fame thing but I hope that at the very least, it will help them remember BW 15th anniversary so that next year's Botcon won't be completely overshadowed by the TF3 movie.

Well, that is just prime. It is nice to see Beast Wars get represented. Particularly Dinobot.

I loved reading the comments below. A lot of G1 traditionalists are complaining that Soundwave is a more famous character and therefore should have won instead of Dinobot. I personally look at the term Hall of Fame as recognition for one's accomplishments, longevity, understanding of, etc. Soundwave is popular and is an awesome character, but he severely lacks depth in the personality and history department. Jazz to me is an even better character, but he rarely played a major role in the original cartoon, the movie, nor the animated series (what a pity too). Shockwave is just a mean, authoritative dude whose loyalty is not to Megatron but to intelligence. He's cool, but probably the least interesting of the bunch. Grimlock was just the muscle man and had no depth like Soundwave. He was a dinobot, but he's not the dinobot . Dinobot has a past, he's had a memorable character development, he's had accomplishments as a villain (stole the golden disk) and as a hero (saved the human race from extinction), and he can be found in the cartoon, comics, toys, and video games. People complain that Dinobot got underdog votes and was a nobody, but he's an icon for everyone who grew up in the 90's. Chopperface truly deserved his recognition and makes a great representation of the Beast Wars saga.

Now, I'm surprised that nobody had even questioned Bumblebee's induction. The guy was useless in the G1 cartoons! All he did was spend time with Spike and like his human companion, he always needed to be saved. Sure, he's cute and cuddly and had his moment of heroism once every season. He's just the kid-friendly Autobot who Michael Bay put on steroids (at the cost of his voice) and gained enormous popularity due to the live-action movies. I had a stronger emotional connection to Megatron's rubber ducky for crying out loud!!! All five of the HoF nominees had a better resume than him:

Soundwave: Right hand man, eternally loyal, combat efficient, and incredibly good at spying.
Grimlock: Pretty indestructible in beast mode, turns the tide of battle, leader of the dinobots, and saved Rodimus' hide several times.
Shockwave: A legitimate challenge to Megatron's authority and power, kept Cybertron under Decepticon rule for millions of years in Meg's absence, and exceedingly brutal.
Jazz: Prime's second in command, leader of the Autobot black ops team, efficient soldier capable of beating the likes of Starscream, Astrotrain, etc., and is universally known among all TF fans to be the best Autobot at assimilating human culture. His nominee page listed him as Optimus Prime's best friend on Cybertron but I find that questionable based on other canon material...

As for Dinobot; yeaaaaah! In your slaggin' face G1! DB really does deserve it, really if not for him we'd be extint.
