Yet Another VA siting!

Hey, I couldn't remember where you guys were posting the voice actor sitings on the old board, so if it doesn't belong here, then... move it? Heh...

Eight Below. Yes, the new Disney movie that recently came out (big tear jerker, absolutely loved it). I wasn't expecting to see anyone in it but I do recall sitting in the theater and thinking, "Man, it would be great if someone (especially Garry) were in this movie." It freaked me out when no sooner than I thought did I see Chalk in a boat captain uniform, using what sounded like a New Zealand accent, talking to Paul Walker's character. I threw my arms in the air and looked at my mom. We snickered, but when his itty bitty part was over, she was like, "Was that it?" And I said, "Who cares! I've never seen him in a Disney movie before, infront or behind the camera. Go Garry!" LoL It was spiffy.

This other siting happened a while ago. I was out with two of my sibs and our friends, came home late and found my mom watching a movie on TBS called Trapped. I don't remember hearing about it but it was released in 2002 starring Kevin Bacon, Charlize Theron and Dakota Fanning. My mom couldn't wait to tell me that she saw Garry in it. LoL I raced to the TV and was pleasantly surprised to see him in a non-SciFi movie. LoL He was an FBI agent, didn't have a big part (not like in the Fly 2), but it was still cool. I feel "special" getting my mom and my siblings attached to Garry.

GARY CHALK!!! Wow, ever since Freddy vs Jason you've been seeing him in more and more movies big or small.

Gary Chalk is the voice actor for Optimus Primal, Bloody Kimono.

And that's really nifty, OOP! I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those films. I've never seen Gary acting in a film before (yeah, yeah, I'm afraid of horrors so skipped Freddy VS Jason) but Eight Below sounds safe, lol!

LoL I know what you mean, Sapphire. Freddie and Jason movies aren't my thing either but once my brother said Garry was in it, I had to see it for myself. And it was so cool to see him on the big screen, you know? I'm not afraid of horrors (sometimes I enjoy them, like the Exorcism of Emily Rose) but those are the ones that include small cop roles and those are a lot of what the Chalkster gets.

Any other sightings that you've seen?

Nothing but these two recently, WW. There's the occasional catching Garry on old MacGyver and StarGate SG-1 episodes. He seems to be the one I see most. Him and Blu Mankuma. But I'll keep my eyes peeled, as I always do.

I've spotted Garry a few times on several episodes of the TV series "The Dead Zone", where he plays the father (and campaign supporter) of corrupt politician Greg Stillson. During the first season, there was a court episode in which two BW VAs were featured as part of the jury; Jim (Inferno) Byrnes (he's the one in the wheelchair) and Blu (Tigatron) Mankuma, who was the head juror. I can't remember if this other episode was in the first or second season of the same show (I think it was in the second), but there was one where a plane was in danger of crashing. One of the flight attendants was in fact played by none other than Venus (Blackarachnia) Terzo.

I don't know if anyone had mentioned this before, but I recall seeing Blu Mankuma in the Santa Claus 2 when that came out in theaters a couple years ago. He was a teacher or principal at the school. Just a small part but very recognizable. I don't know, I've always liked Tim Allen's comedy. ^.^

He's also in the Nick Fury movie, and plays a big part in it. Even if it is a B-film comic book adaptation >.>
